This is a MUCH larger issue and threat than "Save Trestles" or "Save San Onofre" - its about saving and protecting clean waterways on the planet. Ensuring we have water now and for future generations for healthy/non contaminated fish, to swim, to surf, to drink, to enjoy...can you imagine a world without clean water?

The best way to protect is to prevent vs. trying to clean up after the fact, after the destruction has taken its toll.

It's the job of elected officials to represent the people. To create - and also enforce! - strong laws that protect our natural resources.

In addition to showing up - it's important to advocate thru the power of the pen. Take 15 minutes and write Governor Schwarzenegger and the Coastal Commission and let them hear from you- sample letters and contact information is here:

You can also view this page and write your congress people to tell them you expect them to stand up for the Clean Water Act.
More information is here and you can click on the map to find contact information for your own local representatives.
