Multeepurpose is exactly that. It’s a concept store/internet café/printshop/tee shirt design warehouse/fashionista haven and eco-friendly Little Tokyo hang out founded by a company that’s dedicated to “changing the world one tee shirt at a time”. It draws a very eclectic crowd from professionals to artists and local LA dwellers... Who, it turns out, were all intrigued and pretty excited with açaí. The store front looks like a small internet café, but walk back through the hallway and you’ll find additional rooms dedicated to eco tee shirt manufacturing, a backend bar, and much much more. Turns out that their tee shirts are the softest I’ve ever felt (truly amazing) and have the coolest art with eco activist slogans like “don’t f- with mother nature,” plus 20% of each tee shirt is donated back to it’s respective non-profit. Can’t argue with that.
The Sambazon Crew and I stopped by for their official store opening on Saturday night and ran into long time friends Livity and Guayaki who also posted up on the sidewalk to support the store and represent sustainable business and the good life. After a night of serving up mini açaí bowls outside an pouring cocktails at the bar we discovered that Sambazon’s Jungle Love Amazon Energy is quite good with sake, who knew? It’s simple, just pour 2 parts Sake to 1 part Jungle Love Amazon Energy over ice, or shake and pour into a martini glass for a bit more class.
And next time you’re in Little Tokyo in Downtown LA, make sure you stop by Multeepurpose for any reason in the book if only to pick up an Amazon Energy to go!
